new electoral rolls on ancestry for birmingham

i was quite surprised jan to find my name in villa st in 1971 first year i could vote too..also noticed that alongside my name in bold it says 9.11 which is my birthday so must denote those born in 1953 which gives them their first vote...these extra years added could prove useful in our research

I wondered what the code number by my name was for, thanks lyn!
When I log in to Ancestry there is a list of features on the right hand side, including new additions so it pays to check them. I had a lovely time yesterday remembering some of the neighbours. Next door had lovely barley sugars and another used to give me little trinkets, i still have a tiny elephant, and a little dollshouse chair.
