This is labelled Ivy Cottage 1931. anyone know where it is?

Mike, according to this website I think it's Shirley Road, Acocks Green.

In 1921 Kelly's it seems to be called Ivy House. Occupied by Miss Osborne and is listed next to #22.

I believe the photo shows the site where Acocks Green library was later built. Therefore it probably shows the buildings indicated in this 1913 map, although they're not specifically named. The tram in the background of the photo would be standing at the Acocks Green tram terminus.

Her name is Elizabeth Orsborn
On 1901 census it is Ivy Cottage
On 1911 it is Ivy Cottage

On 1922 eroll it is Ivy House
By 1925 eroll it was 4 Sbirley Road
I reached the same conclusion as Mike - it was where the library now is.

The "cottage" is next to the site that was used for the library. The school `top left is the junior school on Warwick Rd and St Mary's church centre back hasn't got its spire it came later! There is a tram at the Green, the building with "Player's" ad in front of the school is in Westley Rd. I went to the school in 1940's I used the library, my parents married at St. Mary's. Deep Acock's Green roots!

In fact the church never got it's spire proved too costly, Mike's picture was taken 1928, the library was built 1932.

The NLS georeferenced maps, one 50/50, show that the enlargement of the Green put the Ivy Cottage site in the widened Shirley Road near today's small car park. As said, the library was built further back adjacent to the Edwardian houses
