I have just been all through the 1861 entries for Gough Street and I can't see an "Ivory Place".

i would agree jan...court 28 not on this map1868 Directory sheds a bit more light on the position

I can't find Court 28 but I assume from this 1954 map it which shows 122 that it was where the car park is marked.
No, no connection to my Johnjust looking at this 1871 census..address bath row then underneath it looks like its say babingtons buildings ? just wondered if there is any connection..
