Old short film - Bordesley Green.

Greetings all,

I have posted before about my father's shoe repair shop (S F Wheeler) which was at 168 Bordesley Green, Birmingham 9 - lost a number of years ago to make way for what is now Pikewater Road.

I have attached a link to YouTube showing a very (27 seconds) short film, converted from tape, which my father took many, many years ago. It was part of a longer reel, but the remainder of it was of the family.

Unfortunately, the quality is really poor as the film was left in an old garden shed which suffered with damp and coupled with my father's ill health, it was not discovered for a number of years.

Best viewed on a small screen - if it gets too big, anything of interest is lost due to pixelation.

Thank you for that. Old videos and photos always add to knowledge and interest of old birmingham, even if the quality is not good

how odd i was just about to post that photo...it could have been me who first posted it but i cant remember...the main thing is you have one..
