I've often wondered about the history of this building on Pershore Road, Stirchley.

It opened in1912 as the Empire Theatre.

and was taken over by ABC cinemas in 1932
but closed in 1943. It later became a garage and is now used by Enterprise Car Hire.

i am amazed its still standing and being used and i often wonder if the people that work in these old buildings know the history

Went past here to and from work in 1970's never occurred to me that it hadn't always been a garage.
