horace nichols b abt 1915

trying to find horace on the 39 eve of war....just helping new member lianne who says she thinks he married a babette hazelwood...horace is her grandad... so far i can only find 3 records on the 39 for a horace nichols...2 of them born in 1915 both married wives names are ivy and joan and the other horace nichols is born in 1891 is widowed...

Thank you it's very kind of you to help I believe nan would of been born maybe 1927 as she was alot younger than him. She had brother called Ronald and a sister but not 100% her name
 
I also think he may have had a sister called Billie not sure if it's short for anything she was a dancer and he may have had a brother called Bert but this is me trying to remember stories when I was maybe 8 we never write these things down when we need to know them later
Horace / Tony ran the run runner with his wife too if that helps

hi lianne...ok leave it with us we maybe able to find something....when you say horace ran the run runner do you mean the rum runner club ? at the min i am trying to find a marriage between a nichols and hazelwood

There is a Horace W Nichols, b1914 single living at 37 Strathdene Road in 1939. He appears to have had a brother called Hubert.

I think the one at Strathdene is living with his sister and brother in law.

Listed there on his own in 1945 but Babette would not have been eligible to vote until 1948 so would not appear - if it is the right Horace.

Leah was his mother and she married Herbert Martin in 1941, though she appears to have 2 daughters (Amy & Beryl) with him in the early 1920s.

Possible that Horace's dad died in WWI, 15 Sep 1916.

Hi New to here I have found my Grandads old trophy in a draw says Turner Bros on it for NBA says league champs 1939
