Hampton Street/ Little Hampton Street

Hi Astoness, that map is excellent. I am researching my GGG grandfather William Phillips who was apprehended in a property on Little Hampton Street in 1806 for coining fake Gute Groschen. Your map helps as it shows Little Hampton street, but also Hospital street, where his sister and brother in law lived. His mother lived in Summer Lane, which was also close by. Where did you get this map? Would I be able to also get a copy of the full map of Birmingham?

In answer to the query, this is the Pigott-Smith map . It can be seen athttps://www.search.birminghamimages.org.uk/details.aspx?ResourceID=12760&ExhibitionPage=5&ExhibitionID=12776&SearchType=3. A modern copy was once sold by Old house books, but does not now seem to be available. An American website seems to offer copies, but with conditions of use !!!.(https://www.album-online.com/detail...lliam-earl-dartmouth-engraved-from-alb4057994)
