Big house on Hagley Road!

My Dad used to live in Harborne.

He had a friend, Gerard Oldham who father Eric? was an osteopath or chiropractor.

This would be 1960’s. He remembers that it was a large house on Hagley Road, on the left hand side travelling out of the city centre, and had a large drive and a coach house to the right of the property.

I have so far drawn a blank using Google Earth. My Dad thinks maybe it was 120? And in the vicinity of Norfolk and Harborne Road.

I cannot find mention of the Oldham family via a Google search.

Wondering if anyone can help?

Thanks
Georgina

I would think it may have been to the right, where the piece of land is? Lower numbers are to the left.

That is so amazing! Glad I posted - thank you. Hope it is still there and maybe can be seen on Google earth?

This may not be related, but I've just posted a photo of the house of the artist Bernard Fleetwood Walker, who lived on Hagley Road. The house was threatened with demolition in the late 1950s. Like I say, it may not be connected as many large houses have gone along Hagley Road,, but thought I'd draw attention to it just in case.

If we could find out the number of Fleetwood Walker's house, that might throw some more light on it. See thread link below.
