Apart from the obvious my Grandmother , 1921 Census Screw Sorter Guest Green Neeterfields Birmingham anybody have any idea where this is area is she Lived in Kings Heath and has anybody heard of a Screw Sorter ¿

Probably Pershore Rd opposite to Fordhouse Lane. GKN broken up in recent years. Aerospace now Melrose, Automotive now Dowlais Group Plc. Not aware of any screw manufacturing.

To be honest I've only know the name Guest Keen & Nettlefolds to be synonymous with the Smethwick Area , as my wife used to work for Group Services when she was younger . I know about the Birfield Extrusions , Haddon & Stokes , Hardy Spicer etc but they were trading under those names prior to joining the GKN Group and the GKN was addred to their trading titles at the relevant sites around Birmingham. I suppose they must have had screw sorters in the early days because I'm sure they must have made thousands .
