Hi. My ex mother in law was Florence Ophelia Agnes Sadler born 1915 in Aston

Wow .. This is great fun tracking this family .. We lived at number 72 Willis street and knew the Taronis . it must have been around 1960ish cos I was born in 1956 and we left there when I was 7 . But I do remember as kids playing in Taronis yard . My mum had just dressed my elder sister up in a lovely white dress and she ambled off to play in the scrap yard .. cos she was a tomboy .. she got absolutely filthy and Mum remembers him calling mum to go fetch her and him finding it all very amusing .
Ther was also a shop nearby run by Mrs Rose . I remember all of this . Does any one here remember MY gran whos house we lived at ? Her name was Sarah .. Payton or Rhodes by her 2nd marriage ? She was in her late 60s and used to pub crawl with he little black and white dog and me a 4 year old in tow ?? she also usedf to place a bet every saturday :) Bless her .
Jean

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help me find some information about my nan's family?

Her name was Annie Taroni (1921-1984) and I think her Dad was Guy Taroni and mom was Alice Sadler, i'd be interested to find out if she had any brothers or sisters?

I'd like to find out more about both of her parents and their past.

Thank you.

Darren

Welcome to the forum.

Have you tried looking on any of the sites like Ancestry or Find My Past? Those are the sites most people on here use. They are free to register and search but you need to pay for records. However, I think both offer a short period free.

Thank you, I have tried those but I'm not getting very far, I can't seem to find a birth certificate

As a start these are possibly siblings of Annie. These are from GRO -free to register and the cheapest way to get info is vai the "digital image" option £3 and instant access - you kist get the entry .

Will see if I can spot any more.

It looks as if Guy and Alice married in 1906 so searching from 1906 gives quite a number of possible entries.

Looks as if Edith and Ruth coulld be twins. Both died the same year.

There might be others that I have not found. I suspect this Alfred isnamed after the first one who died young.

From 1921 census I guess some of these died young as only Alice, Joseph, Alfred John and Annie are listed with Guy and Alice.

There is plenty of info on Ancestry. Guy and Alice's marriage cert. Guy's WW1 pension record. There will be less on Annie as most records are closed for 100 years so more recent records are less likely to be available.

Will do, I'm also keen to look at her great grandfathers immigration from italy, do you have any tips on this? I've got info that he was born in 1812 in italy
