Spring Hill Library

A great shame if it closes.
I spent many happy hours in Springhill Library hunting down Biggles,The Famous Five and Jennings, amongst others.

Interesting Victorian building [grade II listed] but as for running a modern library service in it...........................

BCC is bankrupt and the reality is that there is no money to keep all library sites open as thet are. Another factor is how little use was made of some libraries including Springhill Library. The cost of refurb. is also a factor. Looking at the library service overall I can't help but feel that Springhill must be near the top of a decision for closure.
