Mulliners

My recollection of the Renown is that they had inadequate thickness of metal around the steering box which needed reinforcing because the box tore out of its mounting., Repaired three of them back in the day.
 
The carriage building works on the Corner of Gas Street and Broad Street was engaged in the repair and manufacture of horse drawn carriages. The company was first registered as a private limited company in 1895 with H H Mulliner and W G Mulliner and A Du Cross as directors.
W.G Mulliner was associated with a patent for an improved vehicle lamp in a patent in 1895
Is there a record of where these lamps were made?
 
Guess the Mulliners here were related to the Leamington firm, which manufactured carriages in Leamington previously. Many adverts mentioning their products

In 1888 a coach painter’s labourer was required by HH Mulliner at 10, Gas Street.

In the 1900 Kelly’s Mulliners Ltd, coach builders, were at 31, Gas Street.

The advert in post 37 states "late findlaters".
The 1884 Kellys has this entry:
Findlater Williaim;(excrs-.of), coach builder; works,10 & 11 Gas street; showrooms, 300 & 301 Broad street,
So presumably Mulliners bought out the firm of the deceased William Findlater. They had been at Gas Street since the early 1850s, originally as Barlow, Findlater & Keatley
 
Yes. then buildings on Broad st running along the side of the coach works were 259-264, none of which seem to be connected

In the 1880 Kellys, 29 Dale St is the home of Henry Mulliner (who is listed on the earlier page to that previously shown), and Henry Mulliner, coach builders are in Leamington at 164 The Parade and 76 Bedford St . By 1888, in Kellys, the firm has disappeared from Leamington, though Henry Mulliner is still listed as living at 29 Dale St.
 
Hello everybody,
I’ve only just found this site and am feeling very moved by it all. I’m Marina Mulliner (great grand daughter of Arthur F Mulliner). In answer to some members questions: all the Mulliners mentioned here were all related. My father is 84 and knows a lot about our family history. Sadly…there were large quantities of Mulliner blueprints and designs (done mainly by HH Mulliner, whom I believe was by far the most talented and accomplished of the brothers/cousins) of all sorts of aircraft and vehicles which got thrown out by (we suspect) my grandmother (wife of Arthur R Mulliner).
If anybody has any specific questions I’d be happy to ask my Dad on your behalf?

The factory shopping they had built on the Canal Side of Gas Street were the subject of a redevelopment plan for student accommodation which may be still ongoing has anybody heard of the decision?
