HEATH STREET - Before and After

Thank you everyone wow I'm taken back by the help.
I'm excited about what I'm going to find out next about our old street.
Again thank you. . Karl.
Noel update on my Query about shops on Heath street. I have been told the shop Jimmy Jumbos was a cafe just off Heath Street . As for the other shop which I thought was Roy's well Someone pointed out that maybe the shopkeeper was Roy and the shop may be called something else. So I'm now looking for a shop that was run by a man called Roy . Does that tick any boxes with anyone . So shop on Heath Street run by someone called Roy /Royston maybe.

You said the shop was "at the top of the street" - as I don't know the street I am not sure which end you mean. Can you clarify please. Thanks

However, on the list provided in post #58 at 48 is an R Bicknell. According to the eroll for 1965 the gentleman was Royston Bicknell and his wife was Joan.

I'm not to sure because I was only a toddler but my family used to tell me about our time living in 109 heath street, mam used to send my brother up to Roy's for sugar and things on tick until they got paid. So I'm assuming it's up passed 109 if that made sense. My sister was great at remembering things but she has passed away now.
Our family returned to Dublin in 1970.
Hope I'm not rambling too much.

I have now added to my post as I found an eroll for property number 48 which has Royston Bicknell listed in 1965.

Thank you so much for your help it is well appreciated.
I'm getting to grips with using this site
It's really lovely finding out about the past and where I came from.
