Happy memories of this pub when I worked at R. Whites in the late 60s/early 70s.
Lunchtime visits for big French Sticks crammed with cheese and ham, washed down
by one or two pints of superbly kept Guinness.
It certainly seemed a long walk back down Western Road having consumed that lot!

The Prodigal Brummie
I was watching an episode of Dalziel and Pascoe (S12, E4 'Project Aphrodite, filmed in 2007) last night. Here they are walking out of City Hospital (always Dudley Rd Hospital to me, I was born there) and I'm certain that this pub is The Birmingham Arms on Dudley Road.
