I've just discovered this forum! I used to live in Goldthorne Avenue (no:127) and walked the long walk to Mapledene School. I'm talking mid 70s, I left Birmingham in '78. I seem to remember a Mrs Kendall at Mapledene? Anyone remember her? Ty :)
 
Hi Lisa,

We may have gone to Mapledene around the same time. Holly Payne i attended from 1977 to 1983. I remember Miss Kendall being the deputy head. Scary lady.
