    Church Road, Yardley.

Good morning all, I was just wondering if anyone remembers my Nan and her husband who bought and ran the greengrocers in the early 70’s, I think they called it Sutherlands. Also does anyone remember the Meades family who lived in Wroxton Road probably from 1912 to the late 40’s?

St Margaret’s School in the 1880’s

I’ve had another look and I think the children attended in the early to mid 1890’s. One child was baptised in the church in 1881 too

Charles Edward Road occupants around 1911 - 1924

Yes I have seen that photo. Ethel also lived on Charles Edward Road in 1924 then I think she moved to Yardley Road. I haven’t looked on family search I’ve only been on ancestry, I’ll have a look at that too, thank you

St Margaret’s School in the 1880’s

I’m not sure but I think the old school was in the church hall at St Margaret’s church, Warwick road, Olton or a small building close by. I don’t know when the new school was opened but my family would only have attended the original school.

Charles Edward Road occupants around 1911 - 1924

That’s very interesting, i know they were living there in 1911 with my great grandfather as they are on the census. I wonder if they moved in after 1904. It sounds like a nice house for the time, apart from no bathroom!

St Margaret’s School in the 1880’s

My Great Grandfather and some of his siblings attended St Margarets School in the 1880’s before it moved to its current location. I was hoping that someone has some knowledge of the school from that era. Thank you

Charles Edward Road occupants around 1911 - 1924

My Great Great Grandparents lived at number 58 Charles Edward Road from at least 1911 to 1924 when they both died. Their names were John and Mary Ann Meades. Has anyone got any information or hopefully photos of the road during that era as I would be very interested to find out more about their...

    St Margarets Primary School -OLTON

Good evening, I’m new to this forum so apologies for adding to an old post but St Margaret’s school, Olton is of interest to my family research. My ancestors attended the school in the 1890’s, they were the Meades family and if anyone has any photos of the school or any information for me I’d...
