    The Synagogue is 26, 26a, 26b, it says painters and decorators were 28-30 Blucher st, the lower half of Blucher Street was from Gough St/Upper Gough Street down to Holloway Head junction, and it was much steeper slope down than in the photo.     Hi it was almost opposite the Synagogue, on the corner of Commercial St. If you look up from The Craven Arms in this photo, on the left hand side you can just see the White painted facade. We lived at 21 Blucher St which was opposite The Craven Arms and next to Joe Rann's grocers on the corner...

    I remember Mr Slinn, I believe he married an ex pupil, he was very tall yet drove a British racing green triump spitfire. He used to bring me goats milk from their own goats to school as I was ill for a while an lived in the Erdington children's homes, where I was somewhat neglected.

    I don't remember this but oddly I was in the Erdington Cottage Homes, then called The Gardens from July 1969-July 1973 after the death of my mother. I had started at Marsh Hill Girls in September 1967 so maybe I was part of the reason for this event?

    I got married whilst still at school in the sixth form and 3 days after leaving went into the Emergency Ambulance Control on 999 lines for 10 years, had my first child after 5 years then went part time.
