    My birth certificate gives the above address which my mother always called the "cottage hospital". My sister, born two years later, was delivered in the new Solihull Hospital. Does anyone have information on 19 Lode Lane please? Thanks in advance.

    Hi, have just found out that my cousin's grandfather was listed in 1858 Trade Directory as a greengrocer at 100 Lichfield Street. His name was John Gilford Reynolds.

    Hi Brummy Lad Thanks for the info. It would make sense if it was a single property as they had a servant! Plus I am assuming that an iron founder who employed staff would be better off than the poorer folk crammed into court houses.
