I apologise for the late reply! Thank you so much for all the information I spoke to my step grandad (Lillian Stokes husband) today and he confirmed that my grandad Alfred definitely had a sister who they called Ada. Does Iris or Violet have any middle names listed please?

Was the one brother & sister from George Hicken and two half brothers from Thomas Buckingham?

There's so many Alfreds so Edwin George Hicken had a half brother called Alfred and then went on to have a son called Alfred

Oh wow, he married 2 Elsie's and lost a son! I don't know how many other Alfreds there were previous but my grandad was at the 3rd. I named my son after him, Alfie, which is what everyone called him apparently ☺️
