    Thanks for all the info, everyone. I do know that between at least 1918 when my mother was born, and in the 1921 census he and his family were living at Dingle Farm, Alvechurch and he was described as a farmer but clearly it didn't work out because by 1931 when the Dudley Arms in Wolverhampton...
