    Farmer Palmer shop Icknield Port Road

    Hi Farmer Palmer was my great grandfather on my dad’s side. When I was young I was told he was named ‘Farmer’ as he was born quite sickly and wasn’t expected to live long hence they named him quickly almost as a bit of joke(?)). As it was he lived to a good age and had a good life on the whole.
