    Geach Arms, Summer Lane

    My 3x great grandmother Sarah Hope (nee Wain) lived at The Geach Arms in 1891 (widow aged 74) when her son George (aged 45) was the Manager. His wife was Marian and children George William and Florence.

    This is a map from the 1880's There were fields behind the High Street properties then so I don't think Mill Lane will ever have crossed High Street
