The guy on the right is Roland Shead I believe. Your memory serves you very well-the pencils in the jacket pocket were always a thing-he used to pick me up when he got in from work and as he set me down I'd catch my face on the pencils! What a memory you have.
I think Dad started at Cannings in about 1956 then did National Service from 1960 until 1962 and then back to Cannings. He must have still been there in 1966 because I have a silver christening cup from them. Dad must have gone to Airmark just after that I think. Was so strange to Dad's name...

Hi Willey-my Dad was Ron Davies. He went onto work for Roland Shead in heating and ventilation design. Sadly Roland (or Uncle Roland as he became known to us) died very young, early 30;s, due to kidney problems. Dad passed away in 1999. I've come across these photo's so thought maybe folk...
