    My Grandmother Elsie May Chapman was a cook for the Executive Dining room at Kynochs and as such was called upon to cater for special events. Here is the table plan for one dinner she prepared.

    Here is a collection of wartime photos taken at Kynochs. Elsie May Chapman, my Grandmother, was a cook for the Executive Dining Room there. The photos I have found are of her at work; of the kitchen, the canteen and of an event in the grounds of the factory. There’s also clearly a competition...
