Hi Lyn, I had assumed Albert was at Norton with Arthur as both ended up living in Birmingham, Arthur worked for Wrights Ropes and then moved abroad, but Albert lived in Solihull. It may be that Albert joined him there later in life.

Arthur William Hall at line 9 Page 2 of 1911 census for Saltley Reformatory.

It is a while since I checked the records, but have gone back and found Arthur at line 9 on page 2 of the 1911 census, but cant find Albert. As you rightly say, on their fathers census they are shown as away.

Albert Edward Hall born June 1899 & Arthur Hall born 1897, both in Lincoln.

I am researching some family from the Lincoln area. Two sons for some reason were sent to Norton Reform School around 1910. Does anyone know if any records have survived from this school and if so where they are kept?
