    Griffins/Gargoyles Shard End

    I discovered them back in 2000 and it was like walking into a video game. I am so glad that they are being restored, always thought that they would be on Atlas Obscura as they are such weird and wonderful things to be in the middle of a residential estate.

    No they are/were on the street, the wide walkway adjacent to Horne Way. (Green on map below), not far from the woods but definitely not in them. Screen shot of G maps from 2015. Not even sure if they are still there. I was wondering if there were another 6 in the woods and that would then be...

    I know that there are 6 griffins on the walkway near to Horne Way, Shard End. Are these the same ones being referred to as being on Yorks Wood Estate, not far from the scout hut?
