Birmingham Tube Company
I am trying to find any information on the Birmingham Tube Company based in Birmingham. My Great-Grandfather had worked there but in the 1921 census he stated he was out of work and his last employer was the Birmingham Tube Company. He was a Steel Tube Annealer. James Upton Printers, Great Charles Street, Birmingham.
On the 1921 Census I discovered that my Great Grandmother's second husband Richard Obrey (1899-1975) worked at J. Upton Printers in Cambridge Street. He lists his job as Monotype Caster Mechanic (even though it has been transcribed as Monotype Caster Merchant :rolleyes:). I found this forum when...- JasonB1967
