    I didn't know that my father dressed as an Arab during the VE/VJ celebrations but he was a Middle East Commando serving in North Africa (8th Army Desert Rats) so the costume seems relevant!

    Hi Brummie Geoff, Sorry for the (very) late reply but I've only just found your post. I used to live at number 34 and the Broadbents lived at 36 and the Shufflebottoms lived at 38. I can remember my mother being friendly with 'Winnie'.

    Hi, I'm sorry but I dont remember them. I was born in 1949 at number 34 which was on the corner of Glastonbury Road and lived there until 1969.
