Hi Peter - thanks for the two fabulous pictures. The teacher in the first (sepia) photo is so typically Edwardian, complete with a 'wasp waist'. I notice that in the second picture many of the children and I think at least one of the teachers are wearing flowers. Any idea what the occasion was...
Peter - Just found my grandfathers typed notes on his early life.
Born in New Street, Erdington in June 1901. Went to the National School at the age of 5, so that must have been in 1906.
