    Hi I have all the same memories, We moved from Shakespeare Road to Garbutt Street then moved to Bartley Green in 1958. As you say it was like a new world with fields, woods and the reservoir. I tell my grandchildren that the houses at Black Country Meusum are posh compared to ours. Christine Gough

    Garbet street.

    We lived at 1bavk of 24 Garbett Street. Till 58. I remember the coal yard ,we used to play on the bomb pecking. Christine Gough
