Considering that this is a National Heritage Scheduled Monument, I'm surprised that it does not receive more attention/visitors.

In addition to Keith R's reply, I understand from Wikipedia that it was last excavated in 1959. Not much was found.
A few years ago, I suggested to time team TV C4, that they come and investigate. No reply.
The site is currently grazed by horses. The ramparts have a ring of mature trees...
