    Lived in Loweswater House on Pool Farm until we moved to Hawkesley in 73. A lot closer to the shop. Remember the Drs! Dr Beaton-Hird. I’m 65 in July

    My dad knew both Dennis and Paul from the early 60’s. If I recall correctly, Paul had a Healey which my dad drove once or twice! As you entered the shop, the counter ran along the left hand side. There were models suspended from the ceiling of the shop. Both Dennis and Paul were into the RC...

    Turner’s Modeldrome

    The shop was run by Dennis and his brother Paul. My dad was best friends with them both having known them for many years. Dennis sadly died, leaving Paul, with the help of his wife, to run the shop. Always remember the large wooden propeller above the shop door with a clock in the centre.
