Fireman Sam

Had an interesting career, mainly in the engineering world after serving an apprenticeship in Perry Barr with George Ellison. Went on to study production engineering and work study. Worked for a number of companies in the West Midlands before moving north with the Leyland group. Specialised in training and travelled extensively throughout Europe and beyond. Ended up as a business adviser for those wishing to set up embryo businesses. Retired a few years ago.

Always had an interest in football (the Blues), cricket (Warwickshire) and Rugby Union. Like recalling stories from my past and have a good memory of my days in Brum. Was a member of the AFS and was based at Kings Norton fire Station. I drove the Green Goddesses!
