I had a friend whose family lived in the flats of Bordesley Green Fire Station, during 1945 1954.
Also I delivered Birmingham Mail to the Station desk who USED TO GIVE ME A PIECE OF TOAST MOST MORNINGS.

I worked for Joseph Lucas at the Great King Street Works Engineering Department 1954 TO 1963.
V block department Installed many items related to improvements in Lucas battery manufacture.

Where was Lloyd's bank? I remember the Municipal Bank on corner Victoria Street & Bordesley Green.

I went to Marlborough Road Secondary Modern School, Headmaster H.H.L. Smith during 1949 to 1953.Mr. Beavan was the science teach, Neville McFarlane, Olive Blower, Mr. Owen Grade 4/2, Mr. Twite woodwork.
Good times especially the walk to Belchers Lane sports field.
