Brilliant - thank you so much for that. I can't believe that I made such a basic error over the address after so many years of family history research!
My Burns family were spread about Birmingham, from William Burns b. 1788 who was a Brassfounder. There may be a tenuous link somewhere, you never know! Thank you once again - you've been a real help today! I think I may be popping up again in the future with more questions, this is a brilliant site.
Ah.... I wrongly assumed from the previous entry! It can get confusing when you're not familiar with Birmingham. Thank you so much for clearing that up for me.
David Davies b. 1805 South Wales /Elizabeth Wale b. 1820 Long Lawford, daughter Sarah Margaret Davies b. 1843 Rugby. David Davies is shown on the 1851 census as 'Shoe Maker Master'. The address is just #18 ~Great Hampton Row - with next address on list as No. 22. He dies in 1858. On the 1861...
My gg-grandmother and family were at 3 Court, 18 Great Hampton Row on the 1851 & 1861 censuses. Would there be any maps showing the Court layout for that address, and where should I look if so? I would appreciate any suggestions, thanks.
