My great grandfather worked with H J Muilliner he left London in October 1909. For Edmonton Canada. My great Aunt Helen, told me he was involved in making the first car for the Royal family about 1899. He was a coach designer his name was Edward A Peters he was born in 1864 In Belgium ,dird in 1937 in California. He worked on a few other coaches as well. He worked with wood he also went to expositions to promote the coaches. He also made miniature prototypes of the coaches they were building for their clients. His son Maurice Peters stayed in London and worked for Rolls Royce until the 1920s when he moved to San Francisco, California to join up with the rest of the family . They invented the Universal Lift in the 1920s. It was a oversized hydraulic jack that lifted cars up for servicing. It was the alternative to going down into the pits they parked the vehicles over for repairs. He allegedly invented the roll up window as a alternative to snapping Isling glass. There's more to the story I'm sharing what was told to me, perhaps someone has heard of him.
