Just in case anyone looks at this post again, I have come across a cycle & perambulator manufacture on Farm Street, Birmingham referred to on my ancestors 1921 Census. The name looks like Cadly Brothers of Farm Street, Hockley. Hope that helps someone. :)

This is quite an old 'chat' now, but one of my relatives lived at 24 Scholefield Street. As far as I can see that was between about 1921 until 1939. His name was Thomas Shreeve and his wife Sarah. They had quite a large family. Just thought I'd post this in case this chat becomes 'live' again.

I have now found out why I couldn't see 1919 results, I didn't notice I needed to scroll down as those results were hidden!!

Where did you find out that information about another death that occurred on the same day as Sarah's death? Sarah's death was on 8 October 1919. Thanks

Yes the details quoted are from the death certificate. I have now heard back from Birmingham & Worcester Archives and both state that they don't have the inquest details, so that's a shame. The fact that the death occurred at Selly Oak Infirmary, makes me wonder if this was part of the Workhouse...

I think you would remember Vic if you met him. He was a rather largish bloke and had the gift of the gab. I am attaching a photo of him - not sure when taken but that's my Aunty Diamond with him. It was taken after they emigrated.

To be truthful I don't honestly know. I know that he and his family emigrated to Australia in 1971 and I also know that the partnership with Fred Parker broke up, but exactly when, I would need to enquire with his daughter Jacqui, who is my cousin. Don't know if that helps or not?
