    Brookfields Ellen Street School

My grandmother was born at back 106, Ellen Street in 1903. Does anyone have any info about the street in that period, please? Or pictures?

2 Back 22, Villiers Street, Ladywood

Villier St was (is) in Winson Green, virtually opposite the prison and near Wellington St. Winson Green comes under Ladywood ward on official records, etc. Spent 18 years of my life in Winson Green. Did not think they were back to backs but might have been in 1910!

Thank you. My grandmother was 46 when she died, so not geriatric. No mention of cancer on the death certificate but I did read that myocarditis was often caused by anti-psychotic drugs. She was in a lot of pain, I guess, so maybe this impacted her mental health.

Highcroft Hall Aston Union Workhouse Erdington House

My grandmother died there in 1949. I was always told she died from cancer, and her death certificate mentions pneumonia and myocarditis, but I'm now wondering if she had a psychiatric disorder. Would they have placed cancer patients there then?
