    Mr Vaughn had a book to sign so when we had our split ends trimmed off we could sign to say we’d had our hair cut without losing too much length, he also dealt in antiques.

    Hi Phil. Hope you’re well I remember it all well, you’re right about it all changing, I’m back on Hadland rd now , (25, Pillingers old house ) & our Julie lives at Our old house no 3, I think the only names you’d remember are Linda Hitchen no 14, Browns no 12 & us. ALLthe best Dave.

    I remember the dances at “The Blake” ( Blakenhale school ) in the 1950’s / early 60’s, we ysed to sit on the fence at the bottom of Hadland rd listening to the bands playing rock & roll.

    My mom worked for Paterson & Hughes back in the 1970s/80s she worked at various places including Masonic halls, Worcester race course, bingley hall edgbaston cricket ground & many more where P&H had catering contracts.

    I worked at Payne’s Shoe Repairs a few doors along from the Cardrome, back in the mid 60’s when I left school. We were next door to a shop which I think was called Lisa Marie or something similar.
