Thanks for sharing this map Lyn. My great aunt and uncle lived in Court 14 on Great Hampton Row from 1922 to 1938. I hadn't realised it was in Hockley which I have visited many times in recent years. I assume there is nothing left of the courts now?

It looks as though they have a new factory at 62 Albion Street now.

Thanks so much. I haven’t got access to the 1921 census yet. I will see what I can find about Shepherd and Saunders (or similar). In the end he had to leave the jewellery trade and went to work in the car industry.

Hi I'm new to the forum. My great uncle Tom Scott lived at No. 68 Little King Street in the 1891, 1901 and 1911 censuses. In 1901 there were 2 parents and 8 children in the house! By 1911 he was 20 and a silversmith. I'd love to know where he worked and if there's any trace of it left - I will...
