I guess I would have been there when your birth mother was as I had my son in early December 1965. Do you know your birth mother’s name? Would love to contact someone who was there the same time as me
Late reply but I don’t think Timmy or floss had children. I remember them well and was always terrified of their Alsatian dog Rusty. They were always friendly and I remember Timmy having a broad Irish accent
Sounds horrendous. The matron when I was there was very kind and compassionate and emphasised the girls there were “good girls”. We worked hard but we would have had to do the same if we were living alone. A very sad time. I just wonder what happened to all those other girls who were there in...
