    A visit to the Doctor.

    Our local Doctors surgery was Spring road,Tyseley,and was run by two doctors, Dr Essen and Dr Allen. This was during the 1950s. The waiting room was small with two doors leading off to the doctors. The surgery ( or what we called,the doctors) was part of a terrace of flat fronted houses...

    My mate Paul,16,also worked at a butchers.Name and address was COX BUTCHERS, Spring road,Tyseley.Early 1960s...Now gone.

    I worked for a butcher called "Steel"in the early 60s,the address was mickleton avenue,sheldon,part of a parade of shops.I believe the whole parade has been demolished.Mr Steel (owner)had two shops,but i cant remember where the other one was.The managers name was Dennis.
