I currently live near Folkestone, Kent but will shortly be moving to Solihull. I visited Birmingham in he 1980’s on business and vowed never to return. Now I am a frequent visitor as my partner, Christine, has lived here all her life. I now think it is an incredible regenerated to become a lively, cosmopolitan city.
Research shows that Christine’s ancestors arrived in Birmingham in the 1840’s and lived and worked in Lionel Street.
My interests are British history 1760-1945 and in particular the inter war period.
