    My grandfather on my mothers side William Lawrence was the son I believe of one of the 3 Lawrence brothers who owned Blakeland Farm - the story my mother told me is that after the war (Great War) their wives argued over who was going to look after each part of the holding(farm, sand pit and tip)...
