Hi Lyn, My Mom has photos from her own Mom from where she grew up in Great Barr. Next time I'm over at her house I'll get them out of the loft for her. Good idea! KInd regards.- Birmingham1965

I can't remember the last time my Mom went in to the centre of Birmingham, she lives about 25 miles away and has done for years. I always wanted to take her in to town to show her the changes, some really nice like the area around by the canals and Victoria Square, but she's not well enough now...- Birmingham1965

Hi Catmum, Just sat with my 81 year old Mom at home, looking through old photographs of Birmingham. My Mom worked at Henry's in the late 1950's until about 1961. She tells me she was a window dresser there, her name is Carol. She moved on to Evans after Henry's, but she still has fond memories...- Birmingham1965
