    Doctor Joshi

I have recently come across a couple of photographs, taken at different times and places, of some family members with a man names Doctor Joshi. I have no idea how he is connected to my family other than, maybe, the doctor who took care of my father's sister, who died of cancer at the age of 14...

    Lower Hurst Street

Yes. I had looked at several maps although your map confirmed the location after reading the route the enumerator took in 1871. I needed to make sure and your help has achieved this - again, thank you.

    Lower Hurst Street

Thank you so much! I needed to be the other side of Bromsgrove Street to tie in with the 'Lower Hurst Street'. I see that the side nearest the Hippodrome is just 'Hurst Street'.

    Lower Hurst Street

I am looking for a second pair of eyes to confirm my research please. In 1871 England census, my 2 x and 3 x great grandmothers, Georgina Allen and Eliza Allen, together with a lodger, Sarah Dunn, were living at '5Ct 3 Ho Lower Hurst Street. Is someone able to show this on a map for me please? TIA

I am aware of this and will look into this next as part of the process of elimination. However, I am making some progress which is a good thing so thank you.

    Crowley family

Hi! I have received the death certificate for Hannah Crowley 1916 Aston today and it appears to be the correct one! It also appears that 'Georgina/Georgiana' is the same person as Susannah Allen baptised in 1828 to Joseph and Maria. The death certificate stated the informant as E S Poole of 3...

    Crowley family

I have their marriage certificate dated 19 Jun 1871. Georgina, spinster, was 41, Joseph was 45, widower. I have Georgina on all censuses apart from 1841 and 1891 - neither of which I can find. I have still to find Georgina's baptism and everything is pointing to her being illegitimate - DNA...

    Crowley family

I am trying to trace the death of my 3 x great grandmother, Georgina Crowley nee Allen. I have Georgina in 1901 census with her husband Joseph at 88 Eva Road. Joseph died on 29 July 1904 at same address but the informant was a C Thomas, granddaughter, present at the death. C Thomas appears to be...

Nechell Park Road - Eliza Poole nee Allen

Hi! Only just seen your response. Through thorough DNA research and linking with several DNA matches, I am nearly there! It appears that Georgina did have a child - Eliza- with John Walton. Now, I am tracking Georgina's mother who appears to be either the child or grandchild of Joseph Allen and...

    Stratford Road

My grandmother lived in Baker Street right next door to The Antelope, in the 30s, 40s 50's and early 60's. She then moved onto the Stratford Road next to the Bear (pattern here?) then moved back to Baker Street, a few doors down from the pub in the 70's. Her sister, my great aunt, was living...

Dudley Road Hospital - Peter Walker

Since posting, I have found the correct entry in the burial register (Jane not Jayne) and bought the record. I've just handed it over to my neighbour and she cried - she has been wanting this info since she was 8 years old and she's now 73! My good deed for the day! Thanks for your input : )
