    Yes I have been on that forum for many years it is brilliant but I found some years ago that no one was able to answer regarding St Andrews I wonder if there were other memorials near by.

    A similar question was asked some years ago on the Great War Forum and there wasn’t an answer then so maybe St Andrews didn’t have any sort of memorial. I guess it could also be where Alfred worked.

    Thank you for looking maybe there weren’t enough funds for a memorial but it seems unusual in those times for there not to be something somewhere.

    Looks like my question regarding a memorial was asked some time ago also but no response. I wonder if there was a memorial nearby but we never found it if there was. I went to the national arboretum but they didn’t know anything either.
