You are right it is William Henry Aizlewood Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry. With respect to Nevitt. I was reading it as Nevett. There are 2 T Nevitt's father and son. Almost there.

Very well done Tony:) It was a pleasure to make a small contribution to your worthy task.

So it's just Harry Mason that can't be found. There are 2 possibilities, 1) Harry Mason & 2) Harry Cecil Mason (if we assume he was born in Bham) for a Harry but we can't be sure Harry wasn't a shortened version.

1) Died 20th Jul 1916 Pte South Staffs 8th Battalion Reg No 18249 Died of wounds - theatre of war: Home
2) Died 28th Aug 1918 Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) 9th Battalion No. 67741 KIA France & Flanders. Formerly 295501 RASC

Shame we can't make out any more info regarding death date or regiment from the Street Memorial.

Suzanne

Tony

Looking at the memorial again it looks like it says Died of Wounds and the month of July. What do you think?

Suzanne

Spot on I agree it does say Died of Wounds & either June or July. I think it is safe to say this is Harry Mason South Staffordshire Regiment.

Again thank you for your research skills and good eyesight.
