Words into a sentence

Bernard67Arnold

master brummie
A teacher said to the class, I am giving you three words and I want you to put them in a sentence, the words are, depot, delight, and defender. A young West Indian lad wrote, "I got home it was dark, de light was out, de po was full
so I did it in de fender!!! Bernard(oh dear hope its not too rude)

Hi Bernard.

Not too rude but very old. I heard this at school over 70 years ago. It did not have to be a West Indian. Depot was pronounced as spelt.

Old Boy.

Unfortunately Bernard in todays modern Britain you have now become a 'pseudo racist'. You are not allowed to mock the accent of the Black populace. Let's all put our Rose tinted spectacles on and go back to 1946 (tongue firmly in cheek !)
