Morris William Alfred Cameroonians

master brummie
My uncle William Alfred Morris died in Normandy on 6 August 1944.
Is service number was 14629880 in the 9th battalion of Cameroonians (Scottish Rifles).
I have tried to trace how he died, but have had no luck after trying for ages.
Could anyone help me to find out how he died in action.
Many thanks Mr Reg Morris

You would either need his army records which you can apply for at a cost. Or apply to his regiment - most have an archivist listed on the regiment website.
